LYNSEY FREEMAN

Lynsey Freeman was born in New York City, where she lived as child before her family relocated to Tennessee. She returned to New York in the ’90s, where she was admitted to the Bloomingdale's Executive Training program and worked for many years before coming back to Tennessee. With a foot in both worlds, she has maintained close ties with family and friends in the city and returns frequently.

ALL SHE HAD, her debut novel, is inspired by the secrets we all keep and the things we'd rather not talk about. It's a world of character-driven, atmospheric domestic suspense, defined by complex family dynamics fraught with hidden truths, turmoil, and slow-burning tensions. Within her work, she also examines the various roles women inhabit and how the privilege of upper-middle class becomes dangerously exposed when safety is assumed and guards are lowered. The payoff is an ending that lingers long after the reader finishes the last page.

Before leaving the corporate world to write full-time, Lynsey spent many years as a marketing executive and continues to consult on projects that interest her. She holds a master's degree in English from the University of Memphis and is an alum of ThrillerFest and an associate member of International Thriller Writers. Lynsey lives in Tennessee with her husband, Richard, a rambunctious English Foxhound, and two spoiled cats.
